Private flights

The Aero Club of Catania, with its Flight School, was founded in 1934 and has been based at Catania-Fontanarossa International Airport since then.

In the middle of the Mediterranean, a meeting place of cultures, this land has always connected Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.

Sicily is also the land of Myth – seeing its natural, historical, and archaeological treasures, the coasts, the sea, and its colours, from the sky is an extraordinary experience.   

The A.T.O. (Approved Training Organization) IT 0043 of the Aero Club of Catania is authorized to hold pilot courses on single and twin-engine airplanes for the attainment of licenses and qualifications, also to work as an airline pilot.  

The prerogative of doing business at an International Airport (one of the very few training companies in Europe to do so) makes the course extremely educational for the attainment of a professional licence.

The favourable weather conditions (about 270 days/year with conditions suitable for flight on sight) ensure it’s fully operational even in the winter season.
